Pre-Treatment Instructions for PRP Treatment
- Avoid taking any anti-inflammatory medications such as, Motrin, Naproxen and Ibuprofen for at least 3 days prior to your treatment.
- Speak to your Doctor about taking any blood thinning medications or supplements such as, Aspirin and Fish Oils.
- Avoid any smoking or alcohol for 3 days prior to your treatment.
- Increase your water intake prior to your treatment including the day of your PRP treatment.
- Eat a normal breakfast or lunch the day of your treatment.
- You may wash your hair on the day of your PRP treatment.
- Do not colour your hair less than 3 days prior to your treatment.
Pre-Treatment Instructions for PRP Treatment
- Your skin will take approximately 5 days to heal. Avoid picking any scabs or flaking skin.
- Apply an SPF 50+ every morning daily.
- Avoid taking any anti-inflammatory medications for 7 days post your PRP treatment.
- Increase your water intake to at least 8 glasses per day.
- Avoid smoking and alcohol for at least 3 days post your treatment.
- Moisturize your skin daily
- Avoid any excessive sun exposure or extra cold environments.
- Avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours post your treatment.
- Try and maintain a healthy diet for at least 7 days post treatment.
Additional information
- You may experience some tenderness, swelling and redness in the treated area.
- If you have any concerns speak to your treating Doctor and Registered Nurse
- It is a good idea to attend your two week review appointment.
